New free economic zone "Bukhoro-Agro" was created in Bukhara region

On July 10, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Decree on the creation of the free economic zone "Bukhoro-Agro" in the Bukhara region (FEZ).

The primary goal of creating FEZ is to attract foreign direct and domestic investments for the organization of modern greenhouse farms, including using hydroponics technology by a cluster form. Within the framework of the project, the production of structures, equipment and other components for the construction of energy-saving greenhouses will also be established.

FEZ "Bukhoro-Agro" is created for 30 years with the possibility of further extension of the term. During this time, FEZ participants will receive tax and customs privileges.

Funding projects implemented in the territory of "Bukhoro-Agro" are planned at the expense of international financial institutions, project initiators, as well as loans from commercial banks and other sources. It should be noted that the size of the project initiator's funds attracted for its implementation cannot be less than 25% of the total cost of the relevant project.
