In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for support of domestic manufacturers” dated 21 August 2020, a mechanism of temporary bans and restrictions on goods, products, works and services provided by foreign persons is going to be introduced from 1 November 2020.

The platform created by XT- Xarid texnologiyalari LLC provided an opportunity for customers and suppliers to choose an electronic platform, which was previously limited to the UzEX platform. It should be noted that in accordance with the Presidential Decree dated 29June 2020 “On additional measures to improve the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, state customers must make public procurement through the electronic tenders.

On 3 September President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a Resolution “On measures to digitalize the activities of the judiciary” No.ПП-4818 (the “Resolution No.ПП-4818”).

On 7 September of this year, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Decree “On measures to radically improve the system of land registration and state cadaster” No.УП-6061 (the “Decree No.УП-6061”).

On 21 August of this year the Legislative chamber of Oliy Majlis held its regular meeting. At this meeting, deputies in the first reading adopted draft Law “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan due to further strengthening of guarantees of the rights and legitimate interests of owners” (the “Draft Law”).

In the newly published Global Innovation Index (the “GII”) for 2020, Uzbekistan ranked 93rd. Thus, the country returned to the rating after five years of absence from it due to unavailability of data.
