Uzbekistan plans to create a specialized investment company.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to organize the accelerated implementation of entrepreneurial initiatives and projects in the regions”.

The head of Uzbekistan instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and the Presidential Administration to prepare and submit proposals for creation, within a month, of a specialized investment company, including with involvement of foreign partners.

The document noted that the company will attract investors’ resources, including foreign ones, as well as consultants for the development of investment projects.

The investment company will also participate in the authorized capital of companies and organizations to increase their efficiency and profitability indicators, as well as allocate free funds for the implementation of investment projects in the regions of Uzbekistan.

The President also ordered to create the Association of Consulting Engineers. The Association will develop design, engineering and consulting services in Uzbekistan.

The Association will cooperate with foreign associations of engineers and form consortiums for conducting high-quality design works, including abroad.

Members of the association will be involved in activities to implement prospective investment projects.
