President signs law “On Private Employment Agencies”
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law “On private employment agencies”.
The document was adopted by the Legislative Chamber on 6 September and approved by the Senate on 27 September.
The law envisages expansion of employment opportunities for the population of Uzbekistan both in the country and abroad, the clear regulation of the mechanisms for interaction between public services and the private sector of employment, definition of the procedure and conditions for the provision of employment services, including the rights and obligations of private employment agencies, looking for work.
The law sets the powers of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of regulating the activities of private employment agencies.
In accordance with the norms of the law, state agencies and other organizations provide assistance to private employment agencies in attracting to implementation of programs and projects, aimed at ensuring employment of the population, including abroad, development of public-private partnership in the field of employment of the population.
