Pre-trial settlement of disputes in Russia: recent changes

As of July 12, 2017, amendments to the Arbitration Procedural Code of the Russian Federation and the Civil Code of the Russian Federation come into force, providing, inter alia, for:

• expansion of the list of disputes which do not require compliance with a pre-trial procedure prior to applying to an arbitration (state commercial) court;
• the pre-trial procedure prior to bringing a legal action for early termination of the legal protection of a trademark as a result of its non-use.
