Assel Ilyassova, partner of GRATA International spoke at the Working Group meeting of the German Economy Union in Kazakhstan

On February 26, 2020, the Working Group meeting of the German Economy Union in Kazakhstan was held in Almaty.

Assel Ilyassova, partner of GRATA International, spoke on the topic: “On certain issues of the application of customs legislation by Courts”.

There were main issues considered:

1. Disputes on determining the customs value of goods;
2. Disputes on the classification of goods;
3. The procedure for appealing against the results of customs control

Hovsep Voskanyan, the Head of the Representation of the German Economy in Central Asia, summed up of the meetings of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the European Union countries with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the meeting, members of the union discussed the presentations of speakers and identified further topics for discussion at subsequent meetings of the working groups.
