Free economic zone “Namangan” created in Uzbekistan
Free economic zone “Namangan” was established in Chust district of Namangan region of Uzbekistan.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on creating a free economic zone “Namangan” 20 August.
The economic establishment will create new modern production in the sphere of deep processing, storage and packaging of fruit and vegetable and agricultural products, textile, shoe and leather goods, food, electrical industry, machine and automobile manufacturing, construction materials production.
The decree noted that the FEZ “Namangan” was established for 30 years with the possibility of extending this term. Special tax, customs and currency regimes operate on its territory.
Participants of FEZ “Namangan” will receive tax and customs privileges in accordance with the legislation of Uzbekistan.
