On 12 August of this year a video conference was held under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan dedicated to the development of industries in regions and the expansion of production of competitive products. During the meeting, the President instructed to create industrial clusters in each region, including scientific, innovative, design, financial, engineering and investment organizations.
It is noted that the output industrial products can be increased by 229 trillion soums and growth of 3.5% can be achieved by adjusting industrial policies, working methods and approaches, as well as by forming a chain of production of goods.
During the meeting a special attention was drawn to the creation of industrial clusters. The favourable business environment that is developed in a number of regions increases the need to attract scientific, innovative, design, financial, engineering and investment organizations in order to produce competitive goods. For instance, a favourable business environment is formed for textile and related fields in Namangan region, the production of construction and finishing materials in Navoi region, pharmaceuticals in Tashkent region, electronics and furniture manufacturing in Tashkent.
