Uzbekistan established a visa-free entry regime for French citizens, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism said.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on establishing a visa-free regime for citizens of France on 4 October 2018. The document came into force on 5 October 2018.

Citizens of France, in accordance with the decree, can stay in Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days.

This decision was made in order to create the most favorable conditions for development of international relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Republic, promoting cultural, scientific, educational exchange between countries, improving the investment climate and positively influencing the development of the country’s tourism potential.
