Amendments to the Civil Code of Belarus
On November 18, 2023, after two years of waiting, amendments to the Civil Code of Belarus were published (hereinafter referred to as the new version of the Civil Code). They affected almost all the current regulation, starting with the registration of a company, ending with its economic activity and liquidation. The changes will take effect from 19.11.2024.
New Belarusian Insolvency Law in effect from October 1: Bankruptcy under the new rules
In December 2022, a new Law No. 227-Z was signed, titled "On Insolvency Resolution", aimed at modernizing bankruptcy regulations to align with the current economic landscape in the country.
The law on insolvency has been adopted in Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan, on April 13, 2022, a new law “On insolvency” No. ZRU-763 dated April 12, 2022 (the “Law on insolvency”) came into force. The Law on insolvency regulates the insolvency of legal entities and individuals, as well as individual entrepreneurs, but does not apply to government agencies and other non-profit organizations.
There has been approved a new procedure for notifying the authorized body on the commencement or termination of activities in Uzbekistan
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted resolution “On approval of a unified regulation on the procedure for notifying the authorized body on the commencement or termination of activities” No.88 dated February 25, 2022 (the “Regulation on the notification procedure”).

The moratorium on bankruptcy helped the organization get rid of the forfeit
The owner rented out to the organization premises with an area of 1,000 sq. m. on the territory of the shopping center. A lease agreement was concluded between the parties, which provided for two types of rent: constant (for the use of the premises) and variable. The variable part is the payment for utility bills, which must be paid by the tenant no later than the 25th day of the month following the reporting one.
