Samat has gained extensive experience in corporate and commercial issues in oil and gas and other sectors. He has represented many major international and Kazakh clients.
Samat has substantial experience, which includes advising leading companies through the preparation of memorandums on various legal issues and contracts including petroleum and petroleum products sale contracts, goods, supplies and rent agreements. Samat has further experience in conducting due diligence of individual transactions and entities and in reviewing contracts for compliance with local legal requirements.
In 2010, he actively participated in the development of Kazakhstan’s subsoil legislation.
Samat often participates and speaks at international conferences, including lectureship in KazGUU, and has numerous publications.
