The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan ‘On priority measures to mitigate the negative impact on sectors of the economy by the coronavirus pandemic and global crises’ No. UP-5969 dated March 19, 2020, envisages a number of measures to mitigate possible negative consequences for business entities and citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Regulation for refund of value added tax (“VAT”) paid by individuals, who are consumers, for goods (except for oil and gas products) purchased from persons engaged in retail trade or public catering in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan (“Regulation”) has been adopted by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 21, 2020.

Meanwhile, on March 18, 2020, due to the threat of spread of infection, the Presidium of the Supreme court of the Russian Federation issued a decree restricting the consideration of cases and the acceptance of documents by the courts. Restrictions are imposed for the period from 19.03.2020 to 10.04.2020. It is obvious that if the coronavirus infection continuesto spread, the restrictions will be extended.

The exclusive right to attest to the existence of force-majeure circumstances in Belarus belongs to the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (hereinafter - BelCCI).
