The list of licensable types of activities is supplemented by a new type of activity in the field of atomic energy use

The Law has been amended with the norm providing for an independent organization external audit of the conditions for entering into the major transaction taking into account the market value of the property determined by the appraisal organization.

The law is amended by the article stating that in the event of irreconcilable disagreements between the participants in a company regarding the management of a company due to an insufficient number of votes to make a decision, the dispute shall be resolved the court.

Enterprises and organizations involved in the development, production and sale of explosives, as well as special materials and equipment for their production, are subject to denationalization and privatization by Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Law includes the basic concepts and provisions on the creation, extension of the period of functioning and liquidation, change of the borders, types and measures for the organization for activities, management, determining the status of participants, customs regulation, taxation and land use. Guarantees of the rights of investors, as well as the legal regime are provided.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Law “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with a radical reform of the notary system”.

Starting from January 27, 2020, the Law of December 25, 2019, № ZRU – 598 "On Investments and Investment Activities" will enter into force.

In the light of the adoption of the Law “On introduction of amendments and additions to the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan” No. ZRU-599 dated 30 December, 2019, a new edition of the Tax Code was adopted.

Senate members reviewed the Law “On investments and investment activities”. It introduces the conceptual apparatus, determines the types of investments by destination (capital, financial and social).

A meeting was held between Enrico Pinali, Acting Director of the Representative Office of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Uzbekistan and Jamshid Kuchkarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, they signed loan agreements in the total amount of USD 500 million to improve economic governance in the country and develop the mortgage market sector in Uzbekistan.
