Uzbekistan will introduce additional categories of visas for certain groups of foreign citizens.

Uzbekistan has published Law No. ЗРУ-508 of 24 December 2018, which includes amendments in relation to the tax and budget policy for 2019.

Uzbekistan will provide an opportunity for citizens of 76 countries of the world to receive electronic entry visas from 1 February 2019.

According to the presidential decree "on additional measures to accelerate the development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan", for citizens of 109 countries obtaining a residence permit is simplified.

On 5 December 2018, AHK Azerbaijan organised the AHK-Impuls event for its member companies at Hyatt Meeting and Conference Centre. A round table was held in Tashkent to clarify the provisions of the tender documentation of a pilot public-private partnership (PPP) project on attracting investments to finance, build and operate a solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of up to 100 MW in Navoi region. This is the first phase of the planned project with a total capacity of up to 1000 megawatts.
