Presidential resolution “On measures to simplify the process of liquidation of business entities” was adopted.

According to the decree, the territory of Navoi region is defined as a free economic zone for innovative, high-tech, export-oriented and import-substituting industries for the period up to 1 January 2030, with the possibility of further extension in due course.

The Government approved the Regulation on the allocation of subsidies from the State budget to compensate part of investors’ expenses for the construction and equipping of new hotels, as well as financing organizations on the basis of franchising agreements.

On 7 May 2019, the Uzbek-Italian Business Forum was organized jointly with the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Craft and Agricultural Unioncamere with the participation of business circles of Uzbekistan and Italy.

The Law defines the main directions of state policy: the definition of priorities and the adoption of state programs in this area; strengthening the energy security of the country, the diversification of the fuel and energy balance in terms of the production of electricity, heat and biogas using renewable energy sources (RES); the introduction of innovative technologies, scientific and technical developments in the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency, expansion of production and localization of these energy sources.

The Law defines the main tasks of the authorized bodies in this area – the Cabinet of Ministers, local authorities, the State Committee for Economic Development, the Agency for management of state assets, the urbanization development Fund.
