On July 22, 2019 GRATA International at the UIB University in Almaty, held a seminar on intellectual law for press and media workers. The speaker was Timur Berekmoinov - Patent Attorney of the Republic of Kazakhstan (# 168), Senior Lawyer of the Department of Intellectual Property and Dauren Bayzhanov - Junior Lawyer of the Department of Intellectual Property of the Law Firm GRATA International.

The seminar addressed the following issues and problems of intellectual rights: objects and subjects of copyright, protection of copyright on the Internet, conflicts between authors and publishers and ways to resolve them and relevant cases on intellectual law. 

Seminar participants received practical advice on ways of protection and liability for copyright infringement, use of excerpts (parts) of other copyright objects, quoting works.

The seminar was attended by well-known Kazakhstani media and publications, such as: The Steppe, PF "MISK", Profit Agency and others.
