From June 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024, a resolution of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus will be in force, which establishes the possibility of remote identification of non-residents when they open current settlement (bank) accounts for settlements under foreign trade agreements with resident legal entities.

In June 2022, a joint resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus dated 07.06.2022 No. 363/13 was adopted in Belarus, which provided for the possibility of cash settlement (US Dollars, Euros, Chinese Yuan) under foreign exchange contracts providing for export, concluded between two legal entities, resident and non-resident.

At the beginning of May 2022, the Law «On Payment Systems and Payment Services» (hereinafter as the Law) was signed in Belarus. For the first time in Belarus, implementation of payment activities, requirements for payment systems and participants in the payment market have been fixed on a comprehensive basis.
