On October 17, 2019, the first English Law Day was held in Tashkent, which brought together leading experts from the UK and Uzbekistan. Various aspects of application of English law and the promotion of legal links and business between two countries has been discussed at the event.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law “On the Use of Atomic Energy for Peaceful Purposes”. The law was passed by the Legislative Chamber on 2 July and approved by the Senate on 23 August.
