Belarus has approved amendments to the Treaty on the Customs Code of the EAEU in terms of changes to the regulation of foreign electronic commerce
In June 2023, the EEC Council approved the Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union concerning the Regulation of Foreign electronic commerce. The draft was focused on the national coordination of the participating countries. On December 18, 2023, an Edict was signed encouraging the Protocol.
The suspension of determining the rental fee in the equivalent of a sum in foreign currency has been extended
Previously, the landlord´s right to determine the fee as equivalent to a certain amount in foreign currency was suspended from the 23rd of September, 2022 to the 1st of January, 2024.
Video surveillance in the workplace: control over the processing of personal data.
Given the increase in the number of organizations installing video surveillance systems on their premises, monitoring both visitors and employees, the supervisory body (the National Personal Data Protection Center) clarified that such actions may be considered a violation of legislation on the protection of personal data, and updated its recommendations in December, what to consider not to violate the law.
Since December 15, 2023, the Register of Personal Data Operators has been operating in a test mode.

Amendments to the Civil Code of Belarus
On November 18, 2023, after two years of waiting, amendments to the Civil Code of Belarus were published (hereinafter referred to as the new version of the Civil Code). They affected almost all the current regulation, starting with the registration of a company, ending with its economic activity and liquidation. The changes will take effect from 19.11.2024.
