In January 2020, a Center for the development of e-government is planned to open in Uzbekistan. The Republic of Korea allocates USD 2 million for this project, according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further expanding and strengthening of cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea," and the framework of an agreement between National agency of project management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ministry of Public Administration and Security of the Republic of Korea.

An agreement on the implementation of the public-private partnership project "Construction of the Tashkent-Samarkand toll road" was signed between the Ministry of Transport and the PPP Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In accordance with the agreement, the EBRD will assist in several stages, including a due diligence and preparation of the project, taking into account legal, financial, and technical aspects.

An exchange of bilateral agreements on cooperation in tax and customs spheres has taken place between the governments of Uzbekistan and Japan. Above that implementation of significant energy and infrastructure projects was further discussed between the parties.
